Default 99 mustang gt comp xe278ah cam install

i had a local shop install my comp cams in my car recently and it is having problems with the lifters ticking and on the dyno it lost all power after 4000 rpms just wondering if anyone has heard of this i also heard that the cams are supposed to be degreed i talked to the shop and he told me that he couldnt degree the cams cause there is no other key ways on the cam sproket if anyone has any info i would really appreciate it thanks

If there are no Keyways on the sprocket then there woulden't be anything to turn the cam. You're getting hosed.

Lifters tick could be ptv. I'd degree them asap and check for bent valves

you MUST degree the comp 278 cams. I wouldn't even turn the key if they weren't
