not sure we are following you .... When people say that, i think that they mean from the factory. I am a Stang owner, but I am not stupid. GM has the Pushrod Motor and you cant go wrong with a Pushrod. More Power. Ford screwed up when they got out of the Pushrod Motors, BUT, the Mod Motors are cheaper cost wise, which explains why an 02 GT on cost 28K and the Maro or Firebird cost around 33-35K. The parts on Mod Motors are also interchangeable with the 4.6 & 5.4 blocks ...

It's a fair race if they are willing to set it up and race. It becomes unfair when 1 party decides the other might have the advantage.

In this case....

281 with crappy stock eaton blower....

346 with after market blower...

That is with stock motors. In my experience, a stock 03 cobra with a stock eaton can hang with most stock motored LS1 cars. Not many people are willing to press those motors with blowers.

And I don't think this is the right question for this forum, but being such an old thread, I felt compelled to reply ........

Wrong wrong wrong...

Ford jumped light years ahead with the modulars, sorry. How many stock 302/351's do you see running around making 600+ hp on the stock heads and intake? you don't. How many stock 302 blocks have you seen live past 500 hp or 7k rpm? Not many. How many stock 302/351 have you seen spin 7k stock? None lately! In order to build a pushrod motor that can compete with a 4v you have to replace everything, block heads intake valvetrain. Pushrod = less valvetrain stability also stock for stock. Think before you speak
