Default Rear Axle Squawking! Limited slip to POsi??

I have been fighting with My dealer about a squawking rear axle..the clutch pack is crap and they have replaced it twice..my GT squawks when making slo turns..and Im sick of it. the Company has blew me off and dont even return my calls anymore,,I think they just dont want to deal with it and dont want to replace the Axle. I want to know if anyone has replaced the Stock Limited slip with an after market one? or installed a Posi set up???

thanks

Have you tried taking it to a different dealership? What car is it?

If you want a very good possi that can handle alot of power and still feel like its stock with no noise at all, I would get an Eaton Possi.. That is what I have in my rearend and it hasn't given me one pit of trouble.. It doesn't make a sound when driving or taking corners.. It can also handle alot of power.. I have been running mine now for over 6 months, racing it at the track on nitrous and n/a making around 450rwhp launching on slicks at 6K rpms and not one bit of noise or problems from it.. Most places sell them for around 430 bucks but you can find them new on Ebay for around 330 for so.. The stock Ford carriers are good but I kept on breaking the spider gears in them after 3 times at the track.. I don't think you will have a problem with the eaton at all. That would be my choise in a street car, and believe me when I say its good because I have broken almost every part in my drivetrain racing at the track and this eaton dif. has held up great.. They have forged spider gears, carbon fiber clutch packs, and can take a hell of a beating.. I am pulling 1.50 60fts with mine on full slicks.. So that should tell you something..

I've got an Eaton in my GM 12 bolt rear end (Formula), and have hit it off the line with >600RWHP many times. No problems at all.. Another plug for the Eaton unit, they're very solid.
