I dont have a single problem with the mod motors except that they are too small. Ford needs a bigger V8. But you have to admit that a 281 ci inch motor putting out 320 hp in N/A form is more inpressive than a 5.7 putting out 325 N/A.

You're funny. Lets take a 2005 motor and compare it to a motor that was made over 4 years ago. Good job. Just in case you didn't know, the 5.7's after 2002 put down 405hp.

Im not against GM in any way if thats what your thinkin. Just as there are a couple different versions of the LS1, there are also different versions of the 4.6 Liter. The 405 hp is from an LS6 which as far as I know isnt a high volume motor. The LS1 is what I was refering to and as far as I know they got up to 350 hp which was in a gto/vette if im not mistaken. Then they bumped it up to 6.0 L (LS2) which got them 400 hp.

All im saying is that the mod motors are pretty decent motors for their size. I will just leave it at that.

that block is a C5-R block that was supposedly built and delieverd by carrol shelby himself. although what i dont understand is why a ford guy would build and deliver a chevy block.

but anyways, they are puttin a 5 spd in and tweaking the exhaust to quiet it down. There are a few others minor defects that are being fixed. Very nice car indeed. putting down 1038 RWHP and 932 lb/ft TQ...
Jayson where in the hell have you been.

I always wanted to put an LS1 in my old GT and plate it "CNFUSD"

I like that car. Screw Ford vs. GM, that is a bad *** ride.

The LS1 that is in the GTO and vette that made 350hp is the same that was in the camaro and TA's. GM did not rate the camaro and TA hp the same though. Did not want to take away the luster from the flagship vette. But both were underrated anyways. Most 01-02 fbods made around 310-320 to the ground stock. Far cry from 325 at the crank. They almost made the same kind of power that the 5.4l blown motors that ford makes. Good old 16 valve pushrod motors...nothing beats them!! I did love my mustang though!! Just is an entirely different car.
