Default migrator from ls1tech...

but I still have my LS1 camaro regular on ls1tech

the fiance has an 05 mustang and she's as much into racing as I am. I do all the research and parts ordering though original plan was a blower, but I think we are going NA now. was the 1st 05 at the track here in KC and ran a 13.94 powershifting with less than 500miles on the clock

we did the 1st TKO600 done on an 05 about a year ago. there have been a lot of bugs to work out with it but I think its finally going to work well. if anyone would like any info on it let me know. the drivetrain and suspension is ready to go FAST, now the motor mods will start.

anyway, hope to make this my mustang home

Welcome. All I can say is with mod motors, gears wake up car alot! Don't fear the gear. 4.10's are a minimum for any mod motor. -Mark

actually it already has gears, 4.10's. but its not enough. the transmission gearing change made the 4.10's almost null. it really needs some 4.30's or 4.56's. it still crossing the traps in 3rd gear

Hmmmm.. Ya you need to be deep into 4th with these cubically challenged motors. Still learning the 3v stuff but what's the fuel cutoff at? 4.30's would probably be fine. I have 4.56's and I don't think the 3v's rev as high as the 4v's. Or stall it up and with 4.30's it should be pretty fun out the hole. -Mark

fuel cutoff is stock. I think its around 6200? hopefully with a few motor mods I'll at least be shifting into 4th I hate to switch to 4.30's since its not much of a change, so if I do it will be 4.56's but I'm afraid of what that will do to gas mileage. I think I'll stick it out with the 4.10's for now.
