Default tuning 98 cobra for single turbo

Who has got software for the 98's and is there any tuners out here in So Cal? Is the HP software out for the 98's. What would be the best route to use a MAF or not? We are gonna be running up to 20 lbs of boost. Thanks!!!

I'm cornfused...what do you mean by using a maf? Why wouldnt' you?

BTW - My best friend lives in Santa Ynez and works in SOlvang. I was just in Buellton two weeks ago. HA!

I would hit SVTP.com and ask around for GOOD FI socal tuners. The ones I know of are San jose and near me (clovis).

as far as no maf sensor that is called a speed density tune like what my camaro has. The computer uses a map sensor instead of a maf sensor. Cool you were just in Buellton. Where do you live SB?

I've just never heard of anyone going 'mafless' that's all. I bet it makes tuning a biotch. The only guy I know with a good rep tuning FI that is somewhat close to you is up in San jose.....so, not really 'close'. LOL

I live up near Fresno. I used to live in Lompoc. I have friends in that area and my best friend lives in SY.

I think we are going to have Sean Ellis tune his cobra he is down in Anaheim. I also am not sure if his older 98 computer can support a speed density tune. We are gonna go with whatever Sean Ellis suggests. We are starting a post on SVT to see if there are any other qualified tuners out there for his car. Have a good one.

Kind of unrelated but my car is being tuned with the AFM PMS and a MAF. But, we hhave the option to cut off the MAF and tune by a boost signal from a 3 bar MAP sensor at a given RPM. According to my tuner, it is more accurate at higher boost levels. So, kind of the best of both worlds.
