My funds are pretty limited, and I'm kinda making a game of how cheap I can build my car up, so I was wondering what my next move should be, bang-for-buck wise. I already have:
Bassani cat back
MAC CAI
built rearend
shifter

So guys, what should my next move be? I was thinking, headers...x/h pipe...or, slicks...

Keep in mind that I do plan to go with nitrous in the next year, but this is not going to be a strictly drag car...

Remember weight reduction is like adding HP. And it's free! Start taking things out that you can either put back in easy or don't think you'll use or need when on the street. There's about 100lbs you can take out without getting too crazy. -Mark

What about a gear...maybe a 3.90 or a 4.10?
Other than that, do the basics first...exhaust, intake, tires, weight reduction.

Nitrous is of course the best bang for the buck always.

I already have 3.73's, and an O/R X pipe - if I get longtubes. And my car is already pretty light, since it has cloth interior and the base stereo - I can't remember exactly, but it's something like 3200 with me and maybe 1/2 a tank.

Wow, you must be a light girl, 3200 is a really light weight for these cars stock, especially with a driver.

You will notice the biggest SOTP gain by changing the Ring and Pinion gear to a 3.73 or higher.

I've heard bad things about the MAC CAI, you might want to look at a JLT piece instead.

4.10's or 4.30's on a NA 2V period. Not too many people see big gains with LT's but with added mods and a nice tune, you can see some nice gains in the low and midrange.

Stay away from the Mac cai and BBK as they use metal in their producty which creates more heat. Plus the bends in the piping isnt that conducive for air. A K&N fipk will work fine.
