Fastest Bolt-On ET Possible?

04 GT,CAI, MAF, Plenum, 70 or 75(cant remember) mmTB, Prochamber, Flowmaster race muffs, ET DRs, etc, etc..
today my buddy got a 13.85 with 275/40/17 DRs with a 1.86 short. all this without suspension upgrades. what is the bottom for a bolt-on 2V? :drive:

My friend ran 8.43@82.50 with a 1.86 60 ft in his 03 GT with Accufab Plenum & 70mm TB, prochamber, magnaflow catback, tune, pullies, filter, 3.73's & 275 Nitto DR's. I think he ran 8.4's with the stock mid pipe too.

I don't know too much about what the GT guys are running with just bolt ons, but some of us mach guys are running 11.7's and up with just bolt ons and a little weight reduction.. I would say a fully bolt on GT with some weight out should run some mid to low 12's.. I don't have all the bolt on's yet and I am running 11.9's-12.1's..

My friend hit 12.89 in his 99 GT w/ boltons on slicks. His 60's were like 1.7x I think. Spec 3, 3.73 gears, LT's, no cats, UD pulley, ported TB (I think), and some other things I probably can't think of.

He still had all the seats in, but no spare/jack and other BS. Plus the battery is in the trunk.

low 12's are achievable with bolt ons. Ofcourse, steep gearing and weight reduction is a must. a 4v would be around 11.30-11.50 with bolt-ons. But those #'s are with ALOT of weight reduction. -Mark

Mark is right on it!

What track did he run at? Any idea in the density altitude?

My old '01 went 13.185 on 275/40 DRs with stock gears, minimal bolt-ons, and a 3270 race weight.

It ran consistent 12.90's in Aug. weather with 3.90's and 26" slicks with a few more bolt-ons and a 3270 race weight.

im wondering if the tire side wall has a lot to do with it

I have no doubt that the tire/gear change had alot to do with it. I am just saying it is very easy to run 12's N/A in a 2V.
