Do mustangs need tire height correction?
Superchips would like to know your opinion.
Does the new style Mustangs need tire height recalibration?
We are devoloping a new tuner and would like your input on if this would be a good additional option.

What do you mean tire height recalibration? Like for gear installs? Or when people switch tire sizes? But if it's something you can put in the software, do it. Can you put in a 2 step and also adjustable timing at different rpm levels? -Mark

Superchips is trying to produce a product without the ability to recalibrate for tire height changes over the factory size. Our products have gear change recalibration already. We in Tech support think that the products should include the option of adjusting for different size tires.
Thanks Guys and Gals.

Absolutely! Different tire height is a critical function in any tuner. Heck, the GM tuner products give the ability to enter an explicit pulse count per mile in addition to offering a nice calculator for common values (ie. sender wheel tooth count, gear ratio, tire WxHxD). Why cripple the product? Many people run a different tire size from factory, and while it may be "close" I'd still rather it be "right."

The question should by why shouldn't it be in there? If I'm not mistaken doesn't the software for yrs prior have that as an option why would you remove it? If you have the gear change option already then swapping the tire height also changes the final drive ratio (i.e. 26" to 28" and so on). -Mark

The thing is that we have always had gear changes and NO tire height recalibrations.
The engineers think that this option is not one that people will need.
So we talk to the guys who are beefing up the cars, we in Tech feel we need to have it. So we wanted to prove that the need is there.
Thanks Guys for your feedback, and taking the time to drop me some lines.
BTW did you catch the Pinks episode last night?
That Stang left like a bear!!!!
