Default 99 4V help!!!!

Ok guys I can't figure this one out so I turn to you.

I have a 97 GT with a 99 4V in it. Motor has been in there for a couple of months now. I could not get it tuned due to the IAC leaking because of the 96-98 T body I had on there. I finally found and recieved a 01 T body and put it on. Ended busting the TPS so I replaced it and volted it out to where it needs to be. Now when I start the car it revs itself to 4,000 rpms. I took the IAC back and got a brand new one. Still have this problem. Did not have this probelm with the other t body, just had an IAC leak due to the motor not getting enough to idle. I have check all the vaccuum lines and they are good to go. I am confused becasue all I did was put the CORRECT t body on and now I have this probelm.

Any susggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance, Nick

Make sure the throttle cable that connects to the TB doesn't need to be changed as well. With it hooked up, make sure it's not holding the blade open. Remove the cable from the TB and try to start it again and see if it does the same thing.

Did you reset the EEC? What I'm thinking is that the EEC corrected the fuel tables for that the 98 TB or the TPS on the 98 TB is positioned different that the 99 one. So with the blades closed it idles at 4k? Disconnect the battery for a few minutes and see if that helps. If not have the EEC re-flashed. -Mark

The EEC was flashed before all this with an SCT tuner. I don't think that changing the tbody effected that tune, seeing that the only sensor effected was the TPS and it is at the correct voltage.

Did you try what Greenmoster96 mentioned about the set screw? What about the TPS sensor? Could you have it upside down? Try flipping it 180* -Mark

I have not tried it yet, I will on Thursday. The tps only fits(physically) one way the IAC would be in the way if I rotated it. I am gonna check the seal around the blades on thursday and if that doesn't work I am gonna mess with the set screw.
