Please state what vehicle you have (year, coupe or vert, Auto or Manual) and tell us your raceweight. Anyone did some weight-removal mods yet? List them!

My 88 weighed in the low 2300# range. These new stangs are heavier than my 88 was stock. But run better times. I never had my 88 to the track bone stock but I would guess a 15 is about all it would have done with that 2.73 automatic.

Larry,
That's nuts! How exactly did you get it that light??? I would like to get my car down there...did you have a cage or anything???

My Mustang - 1987 LX Hatch

Raceweight: without driver was : 3080.

It's got a 347 A4 block/Turbo 350 trans. Stock 8.8.
4" Harwood hood, stock brakes all the way around!
No accessories (A/C, P/S), JAZ race seats, no back seat, all sound deadening removed, no heater core. Car has 10 point Wolfe cage and 10lb nitrous bottle.

Would like to get some coilovers and lightweight brakes.
Car is run on 15x3 and 15x10 Weld Draglights...

Paul

That 2300-2330#(depending on how much fuel) weight was with me in it.

The car was completely gutted. I had probably every light weight component that could be bought. You wouldn't believe all I did to the car and couldn't even list everything here because I don't even remember everything I did. I can remember working for a couple hours at times to remove just 1/4 pound of weight. I did have a four point roll bar.

My 88 was labeled the blue bathtub because it was not much more than a tub inside. It sound more like a can when I shut the door than a bathtub. It was stock looking from the outside.

With me, 1/4 tank, and spare tire, the car weighed 3260. I have a 2000 GT M5 Coupe with cloth interior and no Mach 460. This was after I added the heavy wheels and front brakes. I'm hoping to put her on a diet and get her under 3k (without me) by the end of summer.

One of my first stops after finishing up my coupe, is the scales. I'm hoping to tip the scales right around 3000lbs. with me in it, but I'm afraid my seat choice (2003 leather GT seats, front and rear) is going to push me closer to 3100. I've removed most of the sound deadening material, and swapped from a 302cid iron block/iron head/alum intake, to an alum block/head, plastic intake, single cam motor
