Default 97 Cobra, 1-2 Grind, trans compatability

My buddys 97 Cobra is doing the 1-2 grind when shifting while the RPMs are high, which as we all know, is common on the T45s for bad syncros.

I found a trans from a 99 Cobra for sale for DIRT cheap with 30,000 miles on it from a guy I know locally and was wondering if the 5spd from the 99 will bolt right in to the 97? If so this would be a budget way to replace the syncros and get a trans with a few less miles on it

It should bolt right up, they both have the same bell housing..
