Question Take a guess - mark up on new Cobras?

Anyone like to take a guess on how much the new Shelby's will be marked up? I'm guessing the first few will hit 8-10K over MSRP, and it will probably be around 3K over MSRP for the first year.

Unless you are a lucky bastard with connections!

Past history of markups - $150k for Ford GT....$15-30 on C6 Z06's...around $10k for '03 Cobras...(all of this for the first three months or so of craziness)

I would guess in the $15k range (at first), the Shelby name means a lot to people who really wanted one "back when they were in high school," and who spent the last 30 years or so working, making money, and dreaming of that car from long ago. It'll settle out, it almost always does, but at first it will be crazy.

i assume final prices will be around 50-55K... so a 15-20k markup... and this is coming from somebody in the know

I'm hereing as much as 20K mark up. That's crazy on a $40K car.

I hope not too bad. I'd consider one if it wasn't too high.

I'd be willing to pay sticker.. but much over that would be very hard to justify.

Paying over msrp for a shelby ?

I'd guess 5 grand over within 12 months for those who can wait.

Cool car!

I think a few will go for 20k over then it will settle at around 8-10k like nine ball said. After that it might be 1-2k until the run is over
