My friend has an '05 with a V6 which he drove into a field while drunk the other night and continued driving until the motor overheated and seized up since the accident ripped the coolant lines apart. He was too drunk to realize he did any damage until it was way too late, plus got arrested :bang:
How easy is it to swap these? I know LS1's come out of the bottom or you have to strip it down to the block to get it out of the top.
I figure he has a couple options:
New V6 for $3,500
Used V8 for ??? along with what else is the real question? I'm assuming wiring harness, motor mounts, maybe a bellhousing. Has anyone swapped a V6 for a V8 in these new stangs?
Maybe a built up V8 with heads and cams plus all the extras mentioned above.
What's everybody think?
