Howdy, first post on the new Mustang site, looks like it's going good! I'm by no means a Mustang expert, and I'll probly always rag on them if they're going up against an F-bod  (but hey, us V8 RWD guys gotta stick together sometimes... and terminator Cobras are just sick!) One thing I don't hear about among the Mustang guys is how well these IRS Cobras handle? I would be intersted to hear. Thanks

with minor mods they handle very well. there are some bushing upgrades, braces and SFC are a must on these cars.

How good is "very well", like a 4th gen F-body?? like a 'Vette?

How about like a tank. :D Just kidding. Mine's slammed basically and it
has a solid axle now so the ride is totally different then stock. The Mickey Thomposon's certainly don't help it corner either. IMO, they are about the same as a LS1 fbody when both are stock. Both are nothing special IMO.

Somwhere on LS1tech, I saw an article comparing a Posche something to an LS1 Z, and it was eye-opening! If stock-for-stock IRS Cobras handle "just as well", I'd say that's something special :drive: Unit, you're the man by the way. :judge:

From what I've heard from my road racing buddies, the '03/'04 Cobras don't handle great, but they aren't bad. Keep in mind with that iron block, they are very nose-heavy, so they won't be as nimble as the 99/01 Cobras...but then, they are definately better with that whole throttle steering thing. They would require a good amount of work to handle as well as a Vette. Not so much, to go against an F-body. I really hate to admit it though :(
