A little bird once told me the 4.6L doesn't mind 250HP worth of nitrous :secret2:

You would have to be braver than I am to spray a 250 shot on a stock 4.6L...........

The most I would put on the stock block would be a 175 shot and if you ran that I would have NGK BR7 plugs and either race gas or put some torqco in the tank.. I have sprayed a 125 shot for months and a 150 shot for months.. I am about to put the 175 pills in but that is only going to be at the track with some type of higher octain fuel.. Just to let you know Nitrous is adictive and you will up the shot before too long.. If you are going to put it on a GT stang 99-04 I wouldn't put more then a 125 shot due to the plastic intake they have.. I would also get a window swich in it so it doesn't activate too early or stay on too long just incase you hit the rev limiter.. Nitrous can be safe just as long as you do it right and get your car tuned for it.

I would say that you are safe with a 150 shot if you upgrade the fuel pump...

125 wet shot is max. The pistons are extreamly hard and the ring land is ver very high on the piston. the hardness of the piston doesnt allow it to take a really hard hit. It will break. Where as a softer piston will be able to absorb the blow. This info is for a 96-04 2 valve mod motor. I dont know how much a 4 valve motor will take (mach 1 or cobra)
