What cam to run with GT40 iron heads?

i'm pretty damn sure I'll be using a set of GT40 iron heads here on my motor, and am trying to figure out what cam would mate up well with em. One of the letter cams? I'm trying not to touch the pistons until later down the road when I build a shortblock... :drive: Any recommendations? It's a street/strip car that sees more street than strip.

If I remember......you posted earlier that you were looking into a blower?
ALOT of people have used blowers with GT40 heads and a TFS stage 1 cam with bad ass results. I personally know people that have used that set up on a stock shortblock, taking into account that your using stock valve sizes...that should clear just fine. But it is always best to check :)

Other cams Id look at but I do NOT know if they will specificaly clear would be a XE264HR or XE270HR from comp. And of course you could always go custom and make sure you tell em you've got a stock shortblock. :)

sweeeeet, I've liked the specs of the TFS S1 cam, just never knew if it would clear with some stock GT40s..

My buddy built a junkyard twin-turbo setup for his notch using stock GT40P heads and put out some nasty horsepower.
