Default Police Inteceptor?

Alright guys I've got a few questions, I currently work for the county and they are selling a police cruiser. I believe it's a 2000, so I assume it will have the 4.6 but what I'm unsure about is if it's a 2v like in a marquis or if it has the 4v? My dad's a juvenile officer and has taken me for a ride in some of these cars and they are much faster than my brothers marquis. Is there any real difference or would I be wasting my time swaping the motor into an 89 notch?

No. It's a stock PI 2V exact same as in a GT

How fast can you get the Crown Vic to go? Is there somewhere I can find out more about performance on these vehicles?

I say buy the car and leave the motor in it. SLap some spray on that thing and get to work on the weight reduction? What would be better then bustin someone *** in a complete sleeper?
