I am wanting to buy a cam and i was wondering what all i need. The cam im looking at to buy is like a 278 282, i have a 2500 stall and 4:10 gears im goin to order. Im just wondering what all i need for a cam swap.

 

I wouldn't go that big without pulling the engine. The piston to valve clearance will mostlikley not be enough. A 260-270 would be the biggest duration cam that I would trust. Definitely degree the cams when installing.
