hey all..i need some help figuring out my cars setup...i have no knowledge about any of this forced induction stuff..and mustangforums isnt proving to be of much help..

i bought a 02 GT with a KB setup..my mechanic tells me that its a 2.4 but we all know that those wont bolt up to a GT...so i was thinkin maybe its the 2.2 but i have a stock hood..so im guessing that leaves me with the 1.7..but they say no its not..i am gonna post up a pic of my motor and if someone here can please tell me what it really is i would really be thankful..

 

there should be a part # somewhere on it

 

yea there is a sticker in the front.. here is a photo i took with my camera phone

If you had the 2.2L you would have to have a cowl for it to fit. -Mark

 

Its a 1.7

 

Sure looks like a 1.7L KB to me.

 

yup what they all said. 1.7. how much boost are you running on the stock bottom end?
