Point me in the right direction please
I just bought a 2004 Mustang GT 40th Anniversary Edition.....and I'm looking to throw a few worthwhile bolt-ons at it. I'm an LS1 guy at heart so I'm completely clueless as to what "works" on these motors
Throw me some ideas please...... |
basic bolt ons. long tubes, Xpipe, no cars, catback. Pulleys, CAI, 100shot and tune and youll be set for a while.
|
Pullies and a CAI arn't going to yeild much power for the money.
Definatley get a nice set of long tubes with an o/r mid pipe and a set of mil elminators. Gears (don't fear the gear, the modulars love the upper RPM's), Cam's, and aluminum drive train would be a good starting direction for you. |

How about a long-tube header that will work with an auto trans too ?? |
BBK headers are what I have on my 97. You wanna go with comp cams valve springs. patriot should have a complete package with cams and valvetrain all included.
|
Patriot does have a complete package, but the cam specs look REALLY big to me compared to the Comp XE262AH cams I was looking at.....please take a look at THIS PAGE and tell me what you think of the Stage II heads and the cam they have listed. What kind of tuning/stall would be required to make this a streetable combo....and what kind of power gain could be expected from that combo

Maybe after all that Put suspention all around, i tight rear end 3:73, anthing higher sucks over 50 mph, and then get a smooth pair of Street Cheaters.. you'll Be SET~!
