lq4 with 706 casting 5.3 heads
 

i wanting to know what would be best for my 2002 lq4 6.0 have installed a hot cam. im wanting to know should i use the 317 heads and get them milled down to .035 to.040 to raise my cr. or us a set of 5.3 heads casting 706. im wanting to raise the cr. and still raise power too. i know the 317 flow better. but the 706 heads would raise the cr to around 11.1 and they flow i read the same as the ls1 head but has a smaller intake valve 1.89, i realy need some help. i want all i can get with what i have. i can port the 706 heads or the 317's myself. just what would you use. my goal is save money and raise the cr for more power. this is going in a 94 camaro engine is all stock also will be using a ls1 intake until able to buy after market one. and i know about the l92 heads and the ls6 heads. advise needed.
