All we have really close by (still 40 miles for either one for most people) are 1/8 mile tracks. Emerald Coast Dragway in Holt Florida and Atmore Dragway in Atmore Alabama. There is also Irvington Dragway just outside Mobile Alabama but it's not even a full 1/8, some people like it though.
