Headed to HRP tonight
Anybody headed out to HRP tonight? I'm going to be testing my new tune along with my cold air intake on my 06 stang. Previously ran a 13.42 @ 101.80 mph with just an ASP crank pulley. We will see if all the hype about these CAI's and tuning is for real.

Ran a 13.151 @ 102.98 mph, 60'- 2.012
This is with the addition of an Evolution SCT tuning and a JLT air intake. my signature has my previous with stock tuning, stock air box. Air was a little cooler tonight though. About 10 degrees according to Weather Underground. Still not a bad gain. These new automatics sure could benefit from a loose torque converter. It comes on slowly at launch. You can feel the torque come in 30 or 40 feet out. Has to be costing ET! And the rpm drop between 2-3 and 3-4 could be greatly improved. 3-4 almost feels like you put on the brakes when it shifts. Traction is good on the car with the factory radials. I'm sure a converter would change that. |
DAMNITTT. I wanted to go so bad last night. I have a C&L/XCal2 and Corsa. I am glad to hear your times. Congrats. I just ordered a 3600 PI stall and plan on getting some sticky tires soon. Hopin' to run some 12.70's in ok weather. Then the serious mods come. Congrats again, nice times!

4000 would be perfect for our 4500 peak torque. PI recommends 500 rpm less than peak torque for maximum ET.
Be sure to let us know how much improvement you get from the PI. Do you have a time with the stock converter? |

They gave you blanks on purpose so you weren't pissed that you kept running slower. :jest:
