Default Anybody modified their radiator support?

Rather than spend $149 for a BMR raditor support why not just modify your factory support? If you cut out the center portion and leave just leave the two ends you will have a much lighter piece and for free.

Does this involve cutting on the actual car? If so, I can see why people wouldn't want to do this.

You would take the factory radiator support off the car to cut and modify it. Of course you would never be able to reinstall the front sway bar. You could buy a used one on Ebay I'm sure eventually if you ever needed the front sway bar.
