Default Painted Calipers

Can I get away with using automotive paint on my calipers? I've seen it used on engines, and I can't imagine brakes getting too much hotter than the engine does.

I used some high temp engine paint on my stang and it is holding up well. There is a guy over on performancetrucks.net that used a high temp primer and then sprayed auto paint and then clear on his calipers not to long ago. As far as I know its still holding up. I plan to do this to my truck calipers as soon as the touch up paint from the dealer comes in.

You can get away with caliper paint,

IMO the best way to do it is have the calipers powder coated, it looks 10 times nicer
