Default how to remove tape residue from CF hood?

just got my CF hood installed yesterday, looks amazing btw. ill post pics tonight. but they wrapped the edges in foam and taped it to the hood, the tape looks like bandaid wrap actually lol, but either way when i peeled the tape off it left some glue residue on the hood. i have stuff to take it off but havent tried anything because i dont know whats safe to use on carbon fiber.

I'm assuming you're not painting the hood then Give rubbing alcohol a shot, it'll dissolve the glue but won't harm the resin. Follow behind it with a good wax.

+1 - I used it to take two sided tape off my Mustang, it didn't harm the paint and shouldn't harm carbon fiber...

You might check to see if 3M Adhesive Remover is safe for carbon fiber.

I've used pre-cleaner that you use before painting a car before on painted surfaces, but not on carbon fiber. Goo Gone works pretty good and would probably be safer and easier to come by.

I have taken many things off my car that nothing else will get off with goo gone and does not hurt anything

goo gone should work fine
anything that works on paint should work fine, the carbon fiber does have a clear coat on it
