how difficult is it too swap a 2v motor to a 4v motor? I have a 97 expedition and to poped a head gasket. I'm looking now into maybe putting alittle more power in it cause it needs more then stock. I'm going to go thru and rebuild the whole motor anyway and I'm trying to figure out is swapping out the non pi heads for pi heads would be worth it or should I swap too 4v heads and get it over with. how would the swap effect the computer?

not worth it at all, the hp gain wouldnt be that great, put new head gaskets on, get a cai and a pcm tune, you will get the same or a bigger gain then a big swap like that
If it was in a car I would say do it. But for the expidition, juts do the PI swap. Its a lot easier( you can retain almost all the things you have vs. new coolant lines, cam covers) All you'll need is the heads and a PI intake. Everything else will bolt up.

If you are JUST looking for a few extra ponies, then no. However if you plan on squeezing more HP out of it, then yes. Depends on what your overall goal is.

ummm the 4v swap is totally worth it. with a short runner intake, cams, longtubes, pocket ported heads, 380rwhp is average. average.
