Can I get away with using automotive paint on my calipers? I've seen it used on engines, and I can't imagine brakes getting too much hotter than the engine does.

There is a guy over on performancetrucks.net that used a high temp primer and then sprayed auto paint and then clear on his calipers not to long ago. As far as I know its still holding up. I plan to do this to my truck calipers as soon as the touch up paint from the dealer comes in.
