View Full Version : Nineball's drive shaft after turbo! Larry 04-12-2006, 12:53 PM Here's a pic of Tony's drive shaft after he gets that turbo on his new Mustang. Robert B. 04-12-2006, 01:46 PM ouch... who did that? Nine Ball 04-12-2006, 03:03 PM details man, we need details! Larry 04-12-2006, 03:17 PM This is a stock steel that somebody broke. I think he had a supercharger but not sure. I believe the post was on the Corral. Our factory drive shaft is heavy and weak. You will need one of the $700 aluminum shafts to hold that turbo with sticky tires. WILWAXU 04-12-2006, 07:59 PM Nice! :D baddogz28 04-12-2006, 09:04 PM Looks like melted chocolate. Nine Ball 04-13-2006, 10:53 AM dang, must be some thin-wall stuff. I've broken f-body ones much worse though  Larry 04-20-2006, 01:24 PM Ford Racing Performance Parts may be coming out with an aluminum driveshaft. I talked to a guy this morning and he said if they get enough calls they will. It will be like the Ranger shaft M-4602-R that some are shortening and using with the Cobra flange M-4851-B. Would be nice to get it the correct length. Give them a call and get them rolling. 586 468 1356 383ss 04-20-2006, 01:45 PM I just had a steele one made localy for about $250 if I remember right. Bitemark46 04-20-2006, 04:26 PM I have the aluminum driveshaft from FRPP. I've hit it with over a dozen 7000rpms dumps and it's held. I went to do an oil change on my F150 and it to has the same alum driveshaft. So I know I have a spare if needed. :D -Mark MillaTK 04-21-2006, 12:37 AM Umm... damn! What kind of power was that guy putting down? Wnts2Go10O 04-21-2006, 12:37 AM o common its jus a lil twisted:D Tom's_03SVT 04-26-2006, 03:03 AM lol...thats awesome. Got a little torque do ya. |
